New edition of Necromunda incoming

Get your table ready for the new underhive

★★★★★ 4.9 from 148 reviews

The Industrial Zone is a neoprene battle mat that reads as contested underhive territory: grey steel, hazard markings, and machinery nobody has maintained in centuries. Sized for how Necromunda is actually played.

Industrial Zone neoprene battle mat for Necromunda
Summer 2026

A new edition is on the way

Games Workshop's Summer Preview confirmed it: Necromunda is getting a new edition. A new core box with Escher and Goliath gangs, quicker and more streamlined rules, and Zone Mortalis terrain coming behind it.

The core box includes a double-sided playmat to get you started. A neoprene mat is the upgrade most players make first. It lies flat, stays put when someone leans across the table, and survives a full campaign without creasing. Whether you're heading back to the underhive or going down for the first time, now is the moment to sort your battlefield.

Why neoprene

Lies flat, stays flat

Roll it out and it's ready. No creases, no curling corners, no chasing the board across the table mid-game.

Quiet under dice

Cushioned neoprene with a no-slip backing. Dice land soft, and your carefully painted gangers stay standing.

Printed to be looked at

Sublimation printing keeps the detail crisp: warning stripes, cracked plating, grates you can pick out at arm's length.

Square corners

Cut square, not rounded, so two mats sit flush side by side when the campaign outgrows one board.

Three sizes for the underhive

22x30" The new core set

Matches the footprint of the boxed playmat, so it's a straight upgrade for the new edition's starter games. Also the standard Kill Team size, if your gang ever moonlights.

Most popular 36x36" Standard games

3x3 is where most Necromunda games live: dense terrain, short sightlines, and gangs in each other's faces by turn two. Our best-selling size for this mat, by some distance.

$54.99 Get the 36x36"
48x48" The big table

For Sector Mechanicus sprawls, multiplayer brawls, and campaign finales that need room to breathe. The full 4x4 board with no tiles to paint.

$69.99 Get the 48x48"

Also available in 44x30" on the product page. US shipping from $12.99, and orders over $85 ship free.

Questions

What's the mat made of?

Neoprene with a no-slip backing, printed using sublimation so the color sits in the material rather than on top of it. Cushioned enough that dice land quietly and models stay upright.

Does it work with Zone Mortalis terrain?

Yes. The design riffs on the Zone Mortalis look with an industrial grid of roughly 2" squares, and terrain sits on it naturally. It's a printed mat rather than a tile system, so it won't align tile-for-tile with plastic ZM boards, and it doesn't need to.

How do I store it?

Roll it, don't fold it. Rolled up, it fits in most terrain totes and behind most sofas.

What does shipping cost?

US shipping starts at $12.99, and orders over $85 ship free. Every order gets tracking, and you'll hear from us when it ships and again when it's delivered.

Which size should I get?

If you're starting with the new core box, 22x30" matches the boxed playmat's footprint. If you play regular games with terrain, 36x36" is the community standard and our best seller. If you run big campaigns or multiplayer scraps, go 48x48". Still unsure? Try our Size Finder.
