Miniature wargaming board and mat size varies by game developer. The most popular sizes for skirmish games are 22x30", 44x30", and 36x36" boards.

Games Workshop's Warhammer 40,000, Kill Team, Age of Sigmar, and Warcry

Warcry, the Age of Sigmar skirmish game, is played on a 22x30" board

Warhammer 40,000's 10th edition board dimensions, including Crusade, Matched Play, and Open Play, depend on game size:

    • Combat Patrol games are played on a 44x30" board
    • Incursion and Strike Force games (1000 points / 2000 points) are played on a 44x60" board
    • Onslaught games (3000+ points) are played on a 44x90" board
    • Boarding Action, a new game type added in early 2023 as part of 9th edition, is played on a custom  ~55.4x47.8" board

Necromunda

Necromunda does not have a regulation board size, but different game types can easily be played on 22x30", 44x30", and 36x36" boards. Most games are played at 36x36".
